About Laser Genesis/Red Carpet Facial Treatment

Fraxel Dual FTX is the newest generation of the Fraxel nonablative fractional laser platform and an upgrade to the original Fraxel Dual.

It uses two complementary wavelengths to address both superficial pigmentation and deeper textural concerns. The laser creates microscopic treatment columns within the skin while leaving the surrounding tissue intact to support healing.

What does Fraxel Dual FTX treat?

  • Sun damage
  • Freckles and sun spots
  • Age spots
  • Uneven pigmentation
  • Melasma in appropriately selected patients
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Rough or uneven skin texture
  • Enlarged pores
  • Acne scars
  • Surgical scars

What areas can be treated?

Face: Full face, forehead, cheeks, around the eyes, around the mouth, and jawline

Body: Neck, chest, hands, arms, legs, and selected scars on the body

What is the treatment like?

A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. During the procedure, patients typically feel warmth, heat, or a prickling sensation as the laser passes over the skin.

Integrated cooling helps improve comfort. Treatment generally takes approximately 15-30 minutes, depending on the treatment area and customized treatment plan.

What is the downtime?

Downtime is typically 5-7 days, depending on the wavelength and treatment intensity.

Redness, swelling, warmth, and sensitivity are common during the first few days. The skin may then appear bronzed, dry, or rough before developing fine flaking as it renews.

More intensive treatments may require a longer recovery period.

When will I see results?

The skin often begins to look brighter and smoother within one to two weeks.

Pigmentation and texture continue to improve over the following weeks. Collagen remodeling develops more gradually and may continue for several months.

Some patients achieve meaningful improvement after one treatment, while others benefit from a series based on the condition being treated and the desired degree of correction.
