Regenerative Treatment Using Your Body’s Own Healing Potential
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a regenerative treatment created from a small sample of your own blood.
After your blood is collected, it is processed in a specialized centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets within the plasma. These platelets naturally contain growth factors and signaling proteins involved in tissue repair and healing.
The concentrated platelet-rich plasma is then injected into carefully selected treatment areas or combined with procedures such as microneedling to support skin rejuvenation and hair restoration.
Because PRP is prepared entirely from your own blood, it is an autologous treatment with no synthetic fillers or foreign substances.
When PRP is placed into targeted tissues, the concentrated platelets release naturally occurring growth factors that help stimulate the skin’s repair processes. These signals may encourage collagen production, improve tissue remodeling, and support healthier skin and hair over time.
Rather than creating immediate volume or changing facial structure, PRP works by supporting your body’s own regenerative mechanisms. Improvements develop gradually as the treated tissue continues to remodel.
Clinical studies suggest PRP may improve skin quality and support hair growth in appropriately selected patients, although individual results vary.
Face and neck: Under the eyes, cheeks, around the mouth, jawline, and neck
Body: Chest, hands, selected scars, and other areas with crepey or thinning skin
Hair: Areas of the scalp affected by thinning or early hair loss
Face: Under-eye area, cheeks, temples, around the mouth, jawline, and full-face rejuvenation
Scalp: Areas affected by thinning hair or early hair loss
Body: Neck, chest, hands, selected scars, and other areas where skin quality can benefit from regenerative treatment
The procedure begins with drawing a small amount of your blood.
The blood is placed into a centrifuge, where the platelet-rich plasma is separated and concentrated. Once prepared, the PRP is injected into the treatment area using a fine needle or cannula. In some cases, it may also be combined with microneedling to enhance skin rejuvenation.
Depending on the treatment area, topical numbing cream or local anesthetic may be used to improve comfort.
Most appointments take approximately 45 to 60 minutes from start to finish.
Because PRP stimulates your body’s natural healing response, mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising may occur after treatment.
These effects are typically temporary and begin improving within several days. Most patients return to normal daily activities within one to three days, although bruising can occasionally last up to one week depending on the treatment area.
PRP works gradually rather than producing immediate changes.
Some patients notice healthier-looking skin within several weeks, while improvements in collagen remodeling and skin quality continue to develop over the following months. Hair restoration treatments typically require more time before visible improvement becomes apparent.
For many concerns, a series of treatments is recommended to achieve optimal results, followed by maintenance treatments based on your individual goals and clinical response.
