What to expect?

Pre-Appointment

  • Discontinue all retinoid/retinol products 7 days before treatment. Avoid sun exposure for 14 days before treatment. Discontinue use of hydroquinone products 7 days before treatment. No makeup on the day of treatment if the area being treated is the face. Take Valtrex if there is a history of cold sores.

Appointment

  • Before the treatment, the skin is cleansed and prepped. The chemical solution is applied to the skin, causing controlled exfoliation. You may experience tingling or a mild burning sensation.

Aftercare

  • Avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen diligently. Follow specific aftercare instructions provided by the physician, including avoiding certain skincare products for a period.
