Powerful platelet rich plasma from our own blood heals the scalp, promotes hair growth, and prevents hair loss. By injecting into areas where hair is thinning, we’re able to stimulate new and thicker hair growth.
It sounds a bit scarier than it actually is! Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that creates invisible “micro-injuries” in the surface of the skin, triggering collagen and elastin production, minimizing scarring and hyperpigmentation, allowing products to penetrate deeper into skin, and encouraging a healthy glow.
Cooltone is a noninvasive muscle toning technology that is FDA approved for use on the abs, buttocks, and thighs. Cooltone uses AMP (Active Magnetic Pulse) technology, which is designed to warm up, tone, firm, and strengthen muscles while providing active recovery. FAQ’s:
Will this get me a six pack?
As with most cosmetic treatments, desired results come with several consistent treatments. The course of treatment for Cooltone is 6 treatments completed within 4 weeks. In order to achieve the best results, all treatments must be completed in a timely fashion. However, everyone’s bodies are different and we cannot guarantee the same results from person to person. The Cooltone machine works to strengthen and tone the abdominal muscles, which can often result in the appearance of more defined abs.
Will I lose fat after this treatment?
No, the mechanism of action for this machine is strengthening and toning the abdominal muscles underneath the fat – NOT lysing fat cells. So, if your main goal is to lose fat, unfortunately, this treatment will not be as effective. However, the abdominal muscles at the core will strengthen with several sessions.
I’m nervous about the pain! Will this be a very painful treatment?
I totally understand your concern! Pain is relative and differs from person to person. However, this machine works by magnetic pulses that can be uncomfortable, especially when we increase the percentage of intensity incrementally. After the treatment, you may feel soreness in the area of treatment – almost as if you have just completed an intense workout targeting those muscles. You should not feel severe or intense pain, but if that is the case, we can always start slow and maintain a low percentage throughout your treatments! Remember – your highest intensity may not be 100% and that is perfectly OK!

1 syringe is 1/5 of the tea spoon, so a syringe is a tiny amount. When patients ask why do I need to pay so much, why do I need 2-3 syringes? This comparison gives them a better idea of what a syringe is.

The great news is that at HDLS all injectables and procedures are done only by certified Dermatologists so you are in good hands here. Fillers are safe, it has Hyaluronic acid in them which is great for your skin bc it keeps your skin hydrated. We use the smallest gauge needles and our physicians chose only safe, natural and long lasting products. There is also topical numbing that is being applied during the procedure so you barely feel anything.
Will I swell or bruise after the procedure?

Hyperhidrosis means excessive sweating. Perspiration is a normal bodily function, controlled by the autonomic nervous system. Sweat glands are found in the skin throughout the body, however are present in higher numbers in the skin of the hands, feet, armpits and the genital regions. Perspiring is a normal physiologic response of the body when the internal or body temperature rises. This response is characteristically seen with either exercise, or exposure to high environmental temperatures. Stressful situations can also stimulate the autonomic nervous system which then increases sweat production by the glands highly concentrated in the hands, feet, or other regions. In most people, the autonomic response in the sweat glands to stress is not excessive. Unfortunately in patients with hyperhidrosis (approximately 2-3% of Americans), the autonomic stimulation of the sweat glands in response to stress is hyperactive.
Botox injections are used to disable the sweat glands. Botox acts by blocking acetylcholine release at the nerve endings that stimulate the sweat glands thus shutting down the sweat process on the injected sites. The effects can last from 6-12 months depending on the site of injections. The procedure when used for underarm sweating has been approved by the FDA, thus giving new hope for people who after failing to respond to topical treatments were compelled to face surgery.*
These are purified proteins. They come as a liquid which is injected into specific muscles of the face to help soften muscle movement. By doing this, it helps to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, preventing them from getting deeper. Neuromodulators are tailored to the patient—the amount that is put will determine how much of an effect we get.
This is important for patients to understand — if they still want natural movement, that is very possible and the whole point 🙂
The effect of neuromodulators lasts about 3-4 months, depending on how quickly the patients skin metabolizes the product. It does not spread throughout the body, it remains precisely where it is injected.
Its safe for anyone as long as they don’t have neurologic conditions. Out of an abundance of caution, we do not do it if patient is currently pregnant or breast feeding.
Neuromodulators can also be used to affect muscles in the lower face. It can be used to upturn the corners of the mouth, and lower a “gummy smile.” We can also use it to out turn the lips slightly, for an appearance of fullness without using filler. We can use it to smooth out “smokers lines.” And to smooth out puckering of the chin
Neuromodulators are also used to soften grip of masseter muscle in patients with TMJ. This will prevent teeth grinding at night. This also helps to slim the lower face.
Key words: Preventative. Natural. Tailorable. Will still have facial expression. Temporary. Contraindicated during pregnancy

UV lighting is used to record and measure surface and subsurface skin conditions. UV photography provides the most complete data set available for sun damage assessment and analysis, including UV fluorescence imaging to reveal porphyrins. This technology separates the unique color signatures of Red and Brown skin components for unequaled visualization of conditions that result in color concentration, such as spider veins, hyperpigmentation, inflammation and other conditions.
